The Gilroy Museum has been making a record of the Covid-19 pandemic for future generations, and we’d love to have you help! You can contribute by submitting pictures and/or writings along with the donation form. Scroll down the page to see the latest submissions!

January, 2021. Some activities can still be safe! During January’s walking tour, John Taft of the GDBA showed us around the final URM building being fixed. 22 people attended the Monterey Street tour, socially distanced and wearing face coverings.

February 2021. Karen Pogue and her buddy Cooper, in appropriate attire for a pandemic!

Feb 2, 2021. Line for vaccinations at Valley Health Center in the rain. It was in their parking lot but under their solar panels and the tent! Actual vaccinations were indoors and we received a card verifying our first dose and appointment for our second dose.

#WorldOfHearts is a trend where people create upbeat messages composed of hearts in their front windows and doors as a way of connecting with the community when we can’t meet in person.

January, 2021. The food pick up line at St. Joseph’s Family Center in Gilroy stretches around the block from Church St. (picture 1) and down First St. (picture 2, at the bend of Church & First St.), often around the block and up Monterey Rd. These pictures show the logistical changes required during the pandemic, and the economic impact on the community.

February 2021. Walking Tours — Bungalows. On the first Saturday of each month Connie Rogers leads a guided walking tour that showcases Gilroy’s period architecture and history.
